25 ta Life, formed in late 1992, is a New York hardcore band with metal influence. Generally, as exclaimed by many hardcore fans, "if you live anywhere near NY, and you're into Hardcore, you have seen 25 ta Life play at one time or another." 25 ta Life play shows almost every day and it's because of them that many other smaller or local bands get recognition.
At each hardcore show, Rick has a huge table filled with 25 ta Life merchandise as well as tapes, demos, and CD's from other bands. Pile-on's and sing-alongs are a trade mark event at all 25 ta Life shows. The pile-ons, sing-alongs, merchandise table, tattoos and unique vocal stylings were all on display in the 1999 documentary, N.Y.H.C.. Two in-depth interviews were conducted with Rick in his parents' New Jersey house as well as a band performance at the now defunct Newark "Pipeline". The interview footage included footage of Rick's bedroom and his large collection of collectable action figures and horror movie memorabilia. |
