Although formed in 1995 by vocalist Valtias Mustatuuli and guitarist Routa Salomeri, Finnish black/dark metal band Arthemesia (originally named Celestial Agony) didn't record their first demo until three years later, when additional members Jari "Arbaal" Maenpaa (guitar), Jukka-Pekka Miettinen (bass), and Oliver Fokin (drums) joined the cause. More demos followed, but the group continually struggled to get a wind in their sails, as various members' dallied with other projects (Ensiferum, Cadacross, etc.). A 2001 album called Devs - Iratvs was eventually cobbled together from these demos, but by the time 2004's ShamaNatahs LP finally emerged, the true status of Arthemesia's career was anyone's guess.
