Crossbreed Biography

Streaming a disquieting fusion of industrial techno and alternative metal, Crossbreed delivers single sound amalgamations distinct by crude and blistering features. The band's first performances go back to 1996, but it was only three years later that they managed to stabilize their lineup. James Rietz (vocals), Chris Nemzek (guitar), Charlie Parker (bass), Travis Simpkins (drums), and keyboards masters Flip and DJ Izzo assured this Florida team set by 1999. Combusting the attendance at most of their live shows with their sole assemblage of industrial techno featuring disturbing choices of the metal style, the crew had their major breakthrough in 2000. It was then that Kittie had access to a demo of the squad and decided to show it to Artemis Records. The label was impressed by the sound of the Tampa unit and decided to sign them on. Crossbreed then went to New York to prepare and record their first album, Synthetic Division, that hit the record stores in May 2001. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
