Endless Biography

While use of the name Endless in the music business is not infinite, a few performers have chosen the expansive moniker, providing snotty music critics with a built-in reference to tedium if necessary. While a Canadian death metal combo with this name might take the most hostile attitude concerning rightful ownership, in some ways the performer most deserving of the name Endless is an avant-garde enthusiast from Madison, WI, whose activities feed off each other like a biological life support system and whose recordings include a performance of nearly one hour's length on five turntables. This artist also could claim that he legitimately took the name from a business he happens to run in Madison, a used record store called Endless Grooves. Even more compelling is the fact that Endless sounds like a slight but clever variation on this fellow's real name, Tony Ennis.br /br /Ennis is a mainstay supporter of Madison's progressive music scene. People bring unwanted vinyl to his store, providing him with towering stacks of material for his turntable productions such as the previously mentioned 2003 CD entitled Stacked Decks. The store also provides a convenient place to sell releases such as this to the public. Ennis as Endless has also performed in the group Glitch and a duo that calls itself Craig Microcassette System. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
