Force Of Evil Biography

The Danish heavy metal supergroup Force of Evil was pieced together in 2002 by vocalist Martin Steene (Iron Fire), guitarists Hank Shermann (Brats, Mercyful Fate, Zoser Mez) and Michael Denner (Brats, Mercyful Fate, King Diamond, Zoser Mez), bassist Hasse "Hal" Patino (King Diamond, Maltese Falcon), and drummer Bjarne T. Holm (Gutrix, Mercyful Fate, Virus 7). Their goal: to revisit the classic sounds of '80s metal with very Mercyful Fate-like gothic overtones, which they accomplished with an eponymous 2003 debut and a second album, Black Empire, in 2005. But given their numerous parallel band concerns, don't expect Force of Evil to embark on any worldwide tours or take their union too seriously; until further notice, this appears to be a laid-back side project for all involved. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
